Most part of the beach is composed of shells and stones instead of fine white sand.
An old Spanish light house which is still being used up to this date is on top of the hill as seen above. People can trek all the way up.

Palaui Island also boasts its own historic Spanish lighthouse, Cape Engano, that attracts beach goers to also try trekking and appreciate the old architecture built on 1887.
