PARISIAN LIFE by Juan Luna
It was my first time to enter the place despite being a constant passerby and I must say it was worth the visit. The first thing I saw upon entering was the Spoliarium by Juan Luna. I was amazed by the size and TNTC details of the painting. One of my favorites is the Parisian Life by Juan Luna. I guess the painting just caught my attention and I can’t help but stare at it longer than I should. It was also featured in the movie Heneral Luna. The National Museum was under renovation last year when my classmate was asking me to go with her. I guess ‘that’ renovation was a good thing this time ’cause we all know some ‘renovations’ by the government nowadays can be translated to ‘destroy-and-rebuild-things-to-collect-funds-for-my -pocket’.
Anyway, for people living in Manila who are looking for quiet places to reduce stress, or to those who just want to get out I recommend the National Museum. If you like artworks, the better.
